Canada's Seashore Festival is a presentation of the Cavendish Beaches and Dune Shore Tourism Association. It is a three day celebration of everything to do with Canada's favourite shores. Professional and Amateur sand sculpting competitions, beach volleyball tournaments, a family beach party, fireworks spectacular, traditional Island Ceilidhs, ghost stories, rockin kitchen parties and more! Not to mention all of the great Island attractions, the most beautiful costal scenery in Canada and the warm welcoming attitude Islander's are famous for; Prince Edward Island's North Shore is the place to be this summer.
This year's festival will be held from July 11th until July 13th, however at some festival venues the fun will begin a bit early. Events will be held across the region from Malpeque Bay to Tracadie Bay so you will have lots of opportunity to see every corner of this scenic region . 2008 is also the year of Anne, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lucy Maud Montgomery's literary masterpiece "Anne of Green Gables".
